A Himalayan school with a global purpose

Natural Sound Healing International School was founded in 2011 in Kathmandu, Nepal by Grand Master Akash Banjara. We teach authentic Himalayan sound healing — bringing professional education, holistic wellbeing and community service together in one school.

Our work rests on respect for the tradition: knowledge becomes practice, practice builds confidence, and confidence is guided by responsibility.

Our founder

Grand Master Akash Banjara

Grand Master Akash Banjara — known to many as Yogi Akash — is the founder and guiding teacher of NSHISCHOOL. Born in Gorkha and raised among temples and Himalayan culture, he studied with temple gurus, monks, yogis and traditional masters in Nepal, with deeper study in Rishikesh, Dharamshala, Sikkim and Vrindavan.

His teaching brings together sound therapy, yoga, meditation, Reiki and vibrational awareness. A multi-instrumentalist and healing-music creator, he has shared this work across Asia, Europe and Australia over more than eighteen years.
